28 Jun Member Spotlight: Kevin Clark
Kevin has been training with us for the past 18 months. In the first 12 weeks he lost 10 kg, deceasing body fat and increasing muscle mass.

From our perspective, the most important aspect of his progress has been developing his knowledge. Kevin had trained for a long time beforehand with many pre-conceived ideas about training and nutrition (a lot of bro-science). For us it has been a long period of teaching an ‘old dog new tricks’ which can be challenging when someone’s beliefs have been instilled in them for 20 + years.

Aside from an improved physique, Kevin has developed a greater understanding of training technique and methodology and various aspects of nutrition. He has also grasped the concept of more not necessarily being better, while understanding the ‘no pain, no gain’ term is not a literal statement, as he had previously trained to genuine debilitating pain!

As a result, Kevin has overcome many injuries that he believed he was stuck with and developed an overall better appreciation of his body and how to continually improve his health and physique well into his 40’s.

This is a fine example of how it’s never too late to improve and make positive changes in your life, you just have to make a conscious decision to become better and not except anything less.
